The University History display area is located on the 2nd floor of the Main Library, which covers approximately 295 square meters. This is a substantial space founded to show National Tsing Hua University’s historic information. It serves as the best entrance to the comprehensive understanding of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) history.
The region is divided into two parts, the permanent exhibit and the special exhibit, combined with artifacts display and interactive multimedia, to lead the visitors to know NTHU, especially the historical development of the University in Taiwan after 1956.NTHU Memory Net was developed jointly by NTHU and Global Connection and Collaboration (GlobalCC) to create an online multimedia and multilingual knowledge base celebrating Tsing Hua’s Centennial Anniversary. This collaboration was initially discussed in late July 2010, and NTHU Memory Net was able to be realized in a short 9-month time period due to hard work jointly by the staff of NTHU’s Library and GlobalCC, leveraging the powerful and user-friendly interactive knowledge-based system with large scale image and video integration developed by Prof. Ching-chih Chen in the last decade. For further information, please see “誌謝“.
